Not trying to start an argument.
On our machines with the 850 and 950 controllers we can program an R0.0 and the tool starts a level of 0.1000 above the part. Only on drill cycles.
I've seen it and done it myself. No Crashes!
I personally don't like the idea but I have to conform to the companies wants and needs in terms of programming.
I have this all figured out so I don't think there needs to be any further discussion on this topic.
