A friend has gotten herself an iMac and is getting rid of her old PC. Anyone want it before it goes to the recycler? It's an IBM Aptiva 275, with (according to the specs) a 475 MHz AMD K2, 10 GB disk, 64 MB RAM, CD ROM (?), maybe a Zip drive (?), 14 or 15 inch monitor, speakers, modem card, keyboard, and mouse. Should be around 8 or 9 years old. It worked the last time she had it plugged in. She'll throw in an HP DeskJet 660C color inkjet printer if that will seal the deal (which I'll keep otherwise). The current OS is Win98. I have no idea if this box is Linux-ready (I wouldn't be surprised if the modem isn't). I can bring it to the next meeting I attend, or arrange to meet you somewhere in the Greater Kingston area to deliver it. Please let me know by Saturday evening (11/10) if you'd like it.
