Yes, I had a look. That was clearly a good talk which covered configuring and compiling a 2.4 kernel by hand. The compile process changed somewhat with the release of 2.6, and I'm looking to give a slightly different talk anyway about how to compile the kernel and modules directly to easily installable packages "the Debian way" which also covers Ubuntu.
