If you are running Linux, I'd give a big thumbs up for linode vs. doing
dedicated colo. My linode is what runs mhvlug.org, dague.net,
dague.org, and a few other sites (I'm up to about a dozen vhosts). Some
rails apps, some python apps, some php apps, and a chunk of email
processing to boot.

There is no silver bullet. Plus, werewolves make better neighbors
than zombies, and they tend to keep the vampire population down.
