I installed Version DSL in my Mothers apartment, and after a power
outage I noticed that although the modem lights indicated that it was
connected and working there was no access to the internet. After many
hours of futzing around I ended up in the modem's web control panel and
noticed that even though the modem was set to auto-connect it did not
auto-login. I clicked the login button and bingo! back online. The panel
I speak of is where you entered your PPPoE user-name and password.

Hope that helps

Joe
