This leads me to believe that the PC's network card is dead (as opposed to the modem). Bring a laptop and try to make an ethernet connection between the two machine (either via a hub, or directly with a crossed patch cable). Alternately, spend 10 bucks and buy an el-cheapo NIC somewhere to see if it fixes your problem. --Fred _______________________________________________ Mid-Hudson Valley Linux Users Group http://mhvlug.org http://mhvlug.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mhvlug Upcoming Meetings (6pm - 8pm) MHVLS Auditorium Jun 4 - Sqeak! and eToys Jul 2 - KVM (Tenative) Aug 6 - Zenos Sep 3 - TBD
