Sean:
The only noticeable issue I had was gnome do was unhappy after upgrade,
and was very crash happy. I ended up cleaning out it's state directory
(~/.local/share/gnome-do), and life was good again.

Who uses Samba any more ?!! :-P My father (in his 70s) upgraded to 10.04
and we noticed that the system changed the power management settings (they were
now seemingly more active) and also that it has great difficulty coming in and
out of suspend ( a feature he didn't want to use anyway ). It takes minutes,
the screen stays black, and out of the 2-3 times we tried it, it came back
once. This is on a newer 64bit Toshiba with 4GB RAM.
