No issues with 10.04 as such. My Thunderbird mail client is hopelessly

Its possible there is a lockfile keeping thunderbird from opening.
There are instructions on how to fix this problem here.

Usually all you have to do is delete the lockfile. Take a peek at your
.mozilla-thunderbird folder/sub folders and try to find the lock file.

faster, and it can deal with my mail files and address book from TBird.
