Wrong. Ask the former CIO of the London Stock Exchange. He bought an MS-
based trading platform, TradElect, which was slow and unreliable. After 
several high-profile outages, the LSE is switching to the Linux-based 
Millennium platform, and the CIO has been kicked out.

I could also mention a few other examples. LSE is probably the most 
spectacularly costly MS disaster to date, though.

So yes, buying Microsoft for high performance workloads can very much get 
you fired.
