The other screenshot program discussed at dinner was 'ksnapshot'.

I guess the main difference I see between shutter and knsapshot is that one or 
the other may not show up in the menu, depending on which window manager you 
typically use.  [I have shutter installed, but it doesn't show up in the KDE 
menu, for instance.]  Other than that I think they essentially both have 
similar features.
