Yeah, but you know what? I was doing the testing a bit ignorantly.  I was
only making the changes on the router, but looking in /etc/resolv.conf I
realized that my system was using hard coded DNS from time warner cable.
Now I feel like an ass as I was sure I was seeing a difference in
performance when I changed things on the router.  However, when I made the
changes in resolv.con (to 4.2.2.3 and 8.8.4.4) I've seen a massive
performance improvement.
