I've run a Greddy kit with a starion intercooler, 1.8L fuel injectors, a
MSD ignition retard box and a older style BEGI AFPR at 10PSI+ before.
It all comes down to making sure you have enough fuel without making the
fuel pressure high enough to lock the injector's up. I ran the car
this way for a 2 years or so then upgraded to a FM Link ECU (then I
proceeded to blow the motor up by melting piston #4).

I also think you can run larger injectors as well and run the stock fuel
pressure and the greddy FPR and the 6 degrees retarded igntion setting.
This setup will work ok at the expense of idle and low RPM air/fuel
ratios (it'll idle a little rich). This should allow you to run more
boost and simply use a ball & spring boost controller and keep upping
the boost until you reach 11.5:1 on a wideband at WOT. After you get
the fuel mixture correct, then you can slowly start advancing the timing
up to the point where you get a little pinging and then back it off a
little. (or tune with 91 octane til you get some ping, then fill it up
with 93 octane or xylene mix to get an overall higher octane level).
