It is listed on the Parts CD as a separate item so it must be removable. No
indication as to how to remove it from the CD though.

The part number is BPE8-15-270 if you want to just try to get a new one. It
is listed on the Online Mazda Parts as a Pipe, water bypass and costs 18.48

Subject: removing water outlet from head

Hello, I am in the process of replacing the head in my 97 with a rebuilt
one from cylinder-heads.com . old head was running way to much oil
through valve guides. any ways we have all but one piece switched over
from old to rebuilt one. There is a little water outlet on the back of
the head next to the main water outlet.

Can any one give me some suggestions on how to remove it? and possibly
to install it in the newer head?

we have tried heating it and cooling it, but the material transfers
heat/cold to fast to work it seems (even with torch on head and dry ice
on the tube)

suggestion from cylinder-heads.com is to tap it back and forth with a
hammer and use vice grips to twist/pull it. I have not tried this just
yet (head is in a friends garage right now)

here are a few pictures to show what i am talking about.

Thanks
