If an early car, the plugs are two different sizes, on the later cars they're both the same larger size, apparently M16 x 1.5. Not sure on the smaller one.
I saw this on specmiata.com "http://www.cgenterprises.com/drain_plugs_metric.htm is the address for oil drain plugs that will fit the hole where the power steering line was. Size is 16 x 1.5, and they are under a buck. They are Allis Chalmers and Deutz industrial engine oil plugs. I ordered 6, we'll see how they are." Also here's a plug (pun intended) for some guy in Wisconson http://advanced-autosports.com/prod03_steering_wheels.htm ---- Original Message ----- From: "Aleksandr Milewski" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Miata Power List" <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, April 15, 2008 4:25 PM Subject: Depowering steering rack: thread sizes > We're about to depower the steering rack in the smurf (or another one > like it) following the write up at FM: > http://flyinmiata.com/tech/depower.php > > Does anyone know the sizes of the various threads so I can try to order > caps and plugs from McMaster, et al.? > > Thanks, > Handy Smurf > > http://deadsmurf.blogspot.com/ > _______________________________________________ > Miatapower mailing list > [email protected] > http://list.miatapower.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/miatapower > _______________________________________________ Miatapower mailing list [email protected] http://list.miatapower.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/miatapower
