Your missing the point.  Yes it has to be labeled that it's there but it's
included as part of the pump label octane not adding to the octane posted on
the pump.

Perhaps. I'm simply sharing one anecdotal story. 

 

It is my understanding that federal law requires that a pump dispensing E10
has to be so labeled. I've not seen that with the straight 91 sold in AZ. Is
that the case in CA, Zandr?

Right.... the best stuff that comes out of most CA pumps is 91 octane, 
and is already E10. We replaced MTBE (which I think was a CA-only 
mistake) with ethanol here.
