While we're on the subject of NB's and A/C noises, is it normal to hear the
pump physically running at idle and as the revs go up?  I've heard there's a
harmonic frequency that the pump picks up and causes it to be so loud normally.

Is that correct?

Well in SC you’ll never get the interior dried out in a
convertible.

I'd
expect that even in humid weather, once you get the interior air dried out
there'd be nothing left to freeze.  You would need to run the fan at
higher speeds until that happens though.

Yea and even avoid recirculating if it’s extremely humid.

So you're saying to only run the AC on 3 or 4 when you're
  recirculating?

  It’s 134
  and it’s not as cold.

  Don’t run
the system on low fan settings on recycle air or you will freeze the coils

  The noise
is probably just the expansion valve and I think it’s
  normal.

  Gauges
on the system are the only way to check the system for low Freon with 134.

  This
is on the 2005 MSM. We have only heard it a few times so it is really hard to
diagnose. You can let the car idle and listen to the A/C kick on and off.
Every now and then (maybe 1 out of every 20 times) you can hear it go
"whoooooop" when it kicks on. The noise sounds like a rubbing noise
(think of a squeegee moving across dry glass) and seems to be coming from
under the dash. I do not know if a door opens and closes when the A/C kicks
  on or not. Any ideas?

Also, the A/C does not feel "ice cold". How can you tell if you need
a charge on the new systems?
