I, too, am 6'-4" and I have a HDHC. I don't consider fully reclined
to be ghetto in any way. I need all the available room.
Also, since the back of the seat ends at the base of my neck, I kinda
like the idea of having the bar there as I would rather hit my head on
the padded bar than have the
top of the seat form a fulcrum at that point in case of a rear end collision.
The bar does make me feel safer when I am in front of some extremely
jacked-up truck that would ride right over the trunk of the Miata if
given a chance.
