The economy is tough right now. Ga is at 6.5 % unemployment and state is reporting wages haven't increased in 3 years now. No cars are selling other than high gas mileage models. Your choices are to 1) put the effort in to finding the right buyer. Don't rely on ebay, use clubs, tracks, etc that cater to your target market. 2) be patient and wait to sell until after the election when the economy will get better. 3) convert back to stock and sell as a good gas mileage commuter. 4) take a hit and lower your price.
From: Robert McElwee <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: NPC: Red Beast did not sell :) or :( To: "MiataPower" <[email protected]> Date: Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 12:57 AM I'm not sure if I should celebrate and throw a big party or if I should be sad. I ran an Ebay ad for 10 days and Beast only got up to $4750 (didn't meet the reserve). I relisted it and ran it for another 10 days and it got up to $3350. Not exactly what I was hoping for. At $4700 I would probably just keep the car even thought I really don't have the room for it. I've cancelled the insurance and tags on the car so it may just be used as a dedicated race car. My wife is not happy with me not only giving her $5,000 but thinking about buying a trailer and having it sit in the yard <G>. Anyone have any advice for me (buy a trailer and keep the car to race it 3 times a year, strip all the goodies off of it and sell the shell for scrap, etc)? **************It's only a deal if it's where you want to go.
