I don't think you can blame the economy. Even in boom times, the Red Beast is an unusual car that doesn't suit everyone. It's 18 years old and stripped out. You have to find the right buyer. Honestly, I'm not sure I would have expected it to get above $4750.

I ran an Ebay ad for 10 days and Beast only got up to $4750 (didn't meet the reserve). I relisted it and ran it for another 10 days and it got up to $3350. Not exactly what I was hoping for. At $4700 I would probably just keep the car even thought I really don't have the room for it. I've cancelled the insurance and tags on the car so it may just be used as a dedicated race car. My wife is not happy with me not only giving her $5,000 but thinking about buying a trailer and having it sit in the yard <G>. Anyone have any advice for me (buy a trailer and keep the car to race it 3 times a year, strip all the goodies off of it and sell the shell for scrap, etc)? ________________________________ It's only a deal if it's where you want to go.
