Another downside to doing a belt split on an oily belt is you won't be
able to clean the oil off the sprockets and idler pulleys as well as if
you had the belt completely off the engine.  Not a problem now that he
is taking the head off.

i figure it is always good to check on each others intentions.  i am not
quite that dim as to drive the car that way, at least at this point in
my life :)
