It was a cold morning in Minnesota well below zero. I turned the key, waited 
for the glow plugs, and fired up my TDI. Of course the TDI will start well 
below zero, but for the first 10 miles of my commute I froze and shivered. 
This is why I developed a heater for the TDI.

the beauty of it is, it's a coolant heater, so INSTANT HEAT.

Ton of them sold over at Freds TDI page; you can check out the forum for 
feedback.
I've thought about one for my 03 Golf TDI, but since I use it on the road, 
might be a bit strange to run an extension cord out my hotel door.
After being up in WI in mine, I swore I'd never own a TDI without seat 
heaters in the winter.


He says about  2 hours to install, $120 plus s/h.
