Considering that it's a German car, I'm surprised it doesn't have an external temperature sensor with multi-stage computer-controlled doors to control the amount of air going through the radiator. My Audi actually has three radiators. The main one, plus two smaller ones behind the fog lights, and computer-controlled valves to shunt water between them.
