absolutely true! clean and renewable are dirty words only to the shor sighted. man can see ahead which is one of the few things differentiating us from the lower forms. but we have to use it. even notwithstanding "junk science" like the DDT scares which resulted in its ban which resulted in *more* deaths, plus todays bed bug reinfestation. (dont stay in cheap hotels!!!!!)

It has taken a long time for people to become aware of the effects of industrialization, and for those effects to have been associated with what we do on the planet.No one has been happy with the forced legislation that has addressed pollution problems previously, but it has worked, and we are benefitting from it now.If you think that California's valleys have pollution problems today, just look back at photos from 30 years ago. Had measures not been taken at that time, those areas would hardly be inhabitable today.
