Hi All!

I've been quiet for the last couple years; had a kid, bought some different
cars. Sold my '94 FMII last October to a kid who will love it as much as I
did.

That damn thing.... totally bombproof; I bought the car in '99 with 11k on the
clock and by '00/25k had it fully sorted at 12psi. It never asked for
anything other than gas, tires, oil. I did have to replace the injector
o-rings once. Oh, and the battery finally failed in '10 (piece of crap
original ;) ). I'll own another naturally aspirated unit eventually I'm sure.

Awesome value, too. I had maybe $21k into the car all told, including
purchase. Sold it 11 years later for $4000. That's about $1700/year, not
including the odd minor parts. You can't even lease an econobox for that
money.

You all have been a tremendous resource, right from the start. Remember the
CAS window edge timing issue? That was a fun set of discussions. How about
where to attach the sub strap? Spirited! Oh, and how about the ones regarding
the differences in rotational inertia between ball- and sleeve-bearing turbos?

I really enjoyed my sojourn to the FM Open House, too- I think that was....
2004? (Just checked- '03! Shite but time flies.) That was one of the most
epic road trips I've ever taken. 141mph (indicated) on a beautiful day west of
Grand Junction. Having to pull over from dizziness after flogging my little
turbo car up a long and twisty mountain pass in Idaho. Coming out of the
Idaho mountains and overlooking the cool blue hills of western Montana as the
sun began to burn off the early morning haze... It's like yesterday; my heart
beats more quickly.

Anyway, I want to say "Thanks for everything- it's been super cool!" Bill,
Ray, Larry, etc..... sincerest thanks. Have a great summer, and enjoy your
cool freaking cars!

Oh, and wish me luck with mine- I paid ~$15k for a first gen Carrera 4 last
month ;)

Peace!
