Your book isn't the only thing that's got goofy dates, t. I had a couple this morning on the site I use that were way out. Evidently, they think January 23, 1889 is "Hurrdi" Ledbetter's birthday (wrong name, wrong date, wrong year!). Also, it said that January 23, 1950, was the birthday of guitarist for The Doobie Brothers, Pat Simmons, when his birthday is really October 19, 1948! Wow! So, the misinformation is rampant. One nice thing is that if we continue this all year, we will have a pretty correct and definitive "on this day in music history" collection. I'm planning on cutting and pasting all the info and put it into its own file. After everything is logged and corrected, maybe we can sell that to Maxell.
