1959 – Billboard magazine’s headline reads, "Rock And Roll Ain't Ready

featuring guests Elton John as the Pinball Wizard, Patti Labelle as

1990 – The band Judas Priest is vindicated in court and the wrongful
death lawsuit against the band is dismissed for allegedly causing the
suicide deaths of two youths in Nevada.
1996 – Oasis singer Liam Gallagher fails to show up for the recording
of the band’s MTV Unplugged session at London's Royal Festival Hall in
front of 400 fans. He is later spotted in the audience watching the
show take place without him.

2010 – George Michael pleads guilty in Highbury Corner Magistrates'
Court in London to driving under the influence of drugs, stemming from
his July arrest when he crashed his car into a building.
2011 – Frank DiLeo, music executive and manager of Michael Jackson
during his heyday, dies at age 63 due to complications from heart
surgery.
2011 – Esther Gordy Edwards - Motown staffer, creator of the Hitsville
U.S.A. Motown Museum, and older sister of Berry Gordy - passes away at
age 91.
