Also on the show are The Andrews Sisters. 1961 – Hawthorne, California singing group, The Pendletones have their first demo recording session at the home studio of Hite and Dorinda Morgan. It is Freddie Mercury’s last U.S. concert. 1987 – The Willie Nelson biography, Heartworn Memories, is published by his daughter, author Susie Nelson. 1988 – Mark Knopfler announces the official dissolution of Dire Straits. 1990 – The business manager for New Kids On The Block has his briefcase stolen - with $100,000 in cash inside - from a Hollywood hotel. 1994 – A tape of The Quarrymen playing at St. Peter's Parish Church garden fete on July 6, 1957 in Liverpool - the day John Lennon met Paul McCartney, and the earliest known recording of John Lennon - fetches $125,000 (£78,500) at a Sotheby's auction in London. 1997 – Elton John's tribute to Princess Diana, “Candle In The Wind 1997,” sells more than 600,000 copies in its first day in British stores. 1998 – Reba McEntire receives a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. 2001 – Wynonna makes her Grand Ole Opry debut. 2003 – Johnny Cash is laid to rest in the family cemetery at Hendersonville, Tennessee, next to the grave of his recently-deceased wife June Carter Cash.
