1978 - Maxcess claim "Devo's first hit Are We Not Men is released".This 
probably refers to the release of the Devo produced *Mongoloid* b/w *Jocko 
Homo* single. "Are we not men?" a phrase originating in a 1932 film, *Island 
of Lost Souls, i*s from the B-Side. Both songs were rerecorded (with 
producer Brian Eno) for their debut LP 2 years later.
