1977 – The Sex Pistols sign with A&M Records outside Buckingham
Palace. The contract lasts for six days.
1979 – Invited by Porter Wagoner, James Brown appears at the Grand Ole
Opry. Brown performs traditional renditions of “Tennessee Waltz” and
