1963 – The Rolling Stones play two gigs in one day - an afternoon show

2005 – Franz Ferdinand's frontman Alex Kapranos is detained by Russian

2007 – To mark the 40th anniversary of the record’s release, BBC Radio
2 broadcasts the Geoff Emerick supervised re-recording of the Sgt.
Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album. Oasis, The Fray, Razorlight,
Travis, The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs, Bryan Adams and The Magic Numbers
all participated in the recordings, which were made on the original
EMI four-track console The Beatles used to record the original 1967
album.
2009 – Cher sues Universal Music Group on behalf of herself and Sonny
Bono for $5 million in unpaid royalties.
2010 – Randy Newman is honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of
