The Persuasions had no charting (or Bubbling Under) hits of any kind. Their biggest claim to fame seems to be that Frank Zappa signed them in 1969. They did record Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow (in 1977), but the 1960's hit version is by the Rivingtons. I think we should name one of their singles, and remove P-O-M-M. Both of these singles charted regionally (It's You that I Need - 1971 - a #24, *only* in Saginaw MI; and Good Old Acappella - 1973 - a #28, * only* in Amarillo TX)
After 8 total nominations, Black Sabbath is finally inducted in 2006.
