Yes fellas...it'll be available on-line. If it's approved I *HOPE* to be
on-air by late August/early September. Maybe I'm dreaming in
'tech-na-colour'...but that time frame seems reasonable to me. Still that
fuckin' Murphy's Law can always be counted on to screw with your blood
pressure.

t...one of the things I'll do from time to time...maybe at a set time every
weekday? Play a song by a classic artist and double-shot it with a new[er]
release by the same person or group. People [into music] will be VERY
happy to know that many of their favourite artists are still gettin' 'er
done. I've recorded dozens and dozens of these 2 song files already.
Perhaps there are only 2 or 3 really decent tunes on the latest Eric Burdon
album...but we'll play them. The new Justin Bieber song? Not a chance.
Same with the old Justin Bieber song. 2 other stations in the area already
play that poop. I wish Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart and the
rest would STOP recording the old standards though. Gawd....is THAT ever
worn out!!! Leave that to Michael Buble. At least he does it well.

Given that lps sales overtook single sales at approximately the same time
as FM overtook AM radio in the ratings...we'll also run at about 30% album
tracks through the day and even more at night with the Classic Rock
programming. and 25% of that will be new material [that released THIS
century or newer]

Here's another key component. We, like all Canadian radio, will HAVE to
play 35% Canadian content. The CRTC makes us do it. Choose not to? Lose
your license. 10% of our Canadian content will be supplied by local
artists...past and present. In a smaller community that will really work
well for us. The goodwill created will be huge...and we'll be very choosy
in terms of what we play. It has to stand up with the rest of the
playlist. No home recordings of some guy who only knows the open guitar
chord singing with his dog. [unless it's me.]
