I've bought LP's that I didn't like...put 'em away, but one track was memorable...so 6 months later, I listen again, and LOVE it - the whole thing (Matching Mole's Little Red Record comes to mind).
I can listen to TWGMTR....but only from the next room. As soon as I start to decypher the stupid, out-of-date (essentially teenaged) lyrics...sorry, can't handle it. I'll never believe 70 year old men singing about going steady. I'd prefer lyrics about the joys of retirement, or what a bummer a knee replacement is....or almost anything more age appropriate. And since they couldn't pull it off without Foskett.....why isn't he listed as a band member. NONE of them can hit those notes anymore. As a fan, personally, the Beach Boys were wounded with the loss of Dennis, and died when Carl did. I thought the tour was a joke, a blatant play for money, and I can't imagine anything changing that for me. They played nearer to me than anywhere Brian has been in close to a decade....and I didn't bother. I was totally turned off. BTW, are you aware that Foskett has jumped the Good Ship Brian & joined the Mike & Bruce rowboat?!? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Diamond Headz" group.
