I came up with this format, using the microformats class names and titles, for pages that are computer-generated: Monday, January 5, 2008, 10:00pm<span class="dtstart" style="display: none" title="2008-01-05T22:00:00-0800"></span> This would hide the computer data from screen readers but make in available in the DOM. The issue remains for pages edited by non-technical humans.
