Hi Stefano, Your Kaplan is not doing too bad at 64% conversion efficiency, I think you'd be hard pressed to do much better on a low head scheme. One way would be to increase the flow rate through the turbine. Do you have more available flow? If so then scaling up the plant might be an option for you or installing a second identical unit alongside the first.
