Hi All, This is the first message to the group from an absolute newbie in the field of hydro power, so please forgive me if i'm asking too basic or recurrent questions. There is an small stream flowing trough my property (about 3 m head, 100-200 l/s), and i'm planning to use it for an hydropower setup. >From my readings i think i could get 1-2kW from it. I have two questions to the >group. First, wether to buy a ready to install system or doing it myself. I prefer the second option, even considering that my hydropower and electrical abilities are (by now!!) very limited. Do you think I could succeed? Could you recommend me any book, web or so where i can find practical and easy to follow instructions? Second, I want to use the energy generated to warm a 100 m2 building. I realize that 1-2 kW are not a lot, but even an increase of a few degrees is enough for me. Again the question is if do you think this is a feasible idea and where i can find practical information. Many thanks, Vicente Piorno
