OK, I'll need a little more information. Which RPM did you use
(the monster package or the 3 separate modules)?

Can you do the following for me: set the LogLevel to debug in
httpd.conf,
stop apache, remove (or rename) the error_log, and restart apache. I
would like to see the resulting error_log.
