What's odd here is the fact that mod_midgard seems to be activated OK but does not even try to look up the host record when the site is accessed. I found a small gotcha in the httpd.conf that may be the cause of this. On line 1083 you'll find '</IfModule>', move that line to line 1013 (right above the MidgardEngine directive) restart, and let's see what happens.
