I am using RedHat 6.1 and found your monster RPM to be the quickest way to
install and take a look at Midgard..

Unfortunately I ran into two problems:

The README file in /usr/doc/apache-midgard-1.2.5 makes no mention of what
to do next once installed!

How do I start it..?..

So I look at where I downloaded the RPM and got a bit more on loading the
MySQL database and creating the account.

What next? No docs

I look at httpd.conf file and find out its listening on port 2000

So I try:
Connect to https://zeny.ik.ca:2000/
I get: The requested URL / was not found on this server
Connect to http://zeny.ik.ca/
I get the content of the html directory

I look at the error logs and I get:
[Sun Dec 12 21:38:02 1999] [notice] [client 192.168.1.1] Midgard: host
record for zeny.ik.ca:80 not found

The midgard database looks like this:
mysql> select * from host;
+----+------------+------+-------+------+-------+------+--------+--------+
| id | name | root | style | info | owner | port | online | prefix |
+----+------------+------+-------+------+-------+------+--------+--------+
| 1 | zeny.ik.ca | 1 | 1 | auth | 0 | 2000 | 1 | |
| 2 | zeny.ik.ca | 34 | 2 | | 1 | 80 | 0 | |
| 3 | zeny.ik.ca | 34 | 2 | | 1 | 443 | 0 | |
+----+------------+------+-------+------+-------+------+--------+--------+
3 rows in set (0.00 sec)

The DNS for zeny.ik.ca is working both forward and revers... /etc/hosts is
configure proper.

The RPM package is realy nice... the question is?????

How do I start it? that simple!

Thanks, Gerald
