I agree about the performance penalty, but if I put say 5 different DBs in
httpd.conf, are they still pconnected ?
We could imagine that each time midgard find a new DB definition, it opens a
persistant connection to that DB, as it will surely need it for future
requests for that host...
Of course, if you have 500 DBs... another problem comes up.
