Michael, cheer up -- no despondency allowed! Personally, I have never
understood why people think RPMs -- I prefer to build from source, and then
I have absolute control.
Anyway, "apxs" is a script that comes with apache that allows you to add
dynamic modules to the apache after it's already built. The problem is that
you don't have apxs on your path. You will find it in the same directory as
your apache executable (forgive me, I don't know where the RPM wants to put
it....)
Add that directory to your path, at least for the duration of the build, and
you will be ok.
