I can see your point. However, I wouldn't be too
quick to change behavior on something like this
that has been in Midgard already for quite some
time and probably has many applications depending
on this.

But yes, a function for listing *all* articles
of a topic regardless of where the 'up' field
points to might still be useful. If you need
this, please go ahead and post it to the Keystone
system.

Another point, if you are using the up fields
only because you need more fields containing
indexable information, another possible choice
could be to use an extra field with multiple,
comma-separated values. That is what we've been
thinking of recently with a workflow application
we were requested to build for the HR dept at
work.
