It just alarmed me a little because I put a bunch of hours into the last
version of the document. Obviously when there's new material and
code updates, the documentation must be updated. I'll be better prepared
for the next document. Sorry! I'll make some time to work on the current
version. We'll get it smothed over very soon. I think it's a fine document
and I'm damned forutunate to have an opportunity to contributed, thank
you.
While SiteGroups wasn't a small picnic, I anticipate Repliguard being
more involved. I think some of the folks working on Repliguard are at a
greater disadvantage than Emile who's got more experience with the English
language.
Henry also has a grasp of the English language and he's involved with
Repligard. My point is that the documentation for each program is heavily
dependent on the programmer. In the case of Emile he's able to ensure that
his points are all included and described in detail. So, it'll take a
little more work and time to get the Repligard documentation into a
comprehensible form but I'm up for the task.
BTW: I think these apps should be named SiteGard and RepliGard
i.e. MidGard. :) What are you going to name the blobserving? BlobGard,
it's a good thing I'm not writing it, we'd have to name it SlobGard. :)
As vote of confidence for Midgard, I've been teaching another one
of the artists who's on Mi-Recordz to use the application. He's an
absolute beginner that has never heard of php but has a little html
experience. After two days, he loves Midgard. So, that makes three of us
who are actively using Midgard and I've got a fourth guy that's going to
convert two of his sites within the next couple weeks.
SiteGroups showed at the perfect time. Two of my guys have
six sites between them, all of which will be converted to Midgard. One of
the new sites is a graphic arts web so I might hold it back until
blobserving comes around. I anticipate having eight seperate domains
running from Midgard within four to eight weeks.
