I know you've been putting in overtime on the documentation; in fact I
think my edits only touched technicalities that nobody but me was up to
speed with, given the rate of change over the last two weeks or so,
and surface appearance, rephrases. If you compare my first documentation
submission to what we have now, and compare your last version to it, guess
which was closer.

American :) And there are advantages to this, too. It'll need more
discussion to get it just right: good! If I could put the two/three people
together in a room I think you'd bash out some quality docs in two days,
tops. It's just that the asynchronity of email and timezones diffs puts in
delays.
