Hello All:
OK... I've been trying this on my own for about 5 hours now and finally I'm
putting my pride aside. I've read through the archives and tried following
that advice, but alas, I am stuck.
I am trying to install Midgard on a RaQ3 (which I've read in the archives
has been done).
Here's what I've tried starting with installing midgard-lib-1.2.5:
export LDFLAGS="-L/usr/lib/mysql -lmysqlclient:
export LIBS=$LDFLAGS
export LIB=$LDFLAGS
./configure --with-mysql=/usr/lib/
Seems to work ok.
Everything seems to come back yes including checking for mysql_connect
in -lmysqlclient.
Then:
make
I get:
*** Warning: This library meeds some functionality provided
by -lmysqlclient.... But I can only do this if you have a shared version of
the library, which you do not appear to have. ***
How do I resolve this problem?
Does anyone who has installed it on a RaQ have any advice or can you provide
me with how you installed it?
My apologies... this must have been addressed hundreds of times already... I
feel quite embarassed asking.
Thanks for any help.
Drew
