And Dan,  thanks for the grin. That visit to Toulouse yielded some good
memories. I wound up with a cool souvenir, a real deal gendarme cap. I
tried to buy one off the head of a gendarme (honest). He got all nervous &
couldn't do it but he DID give me the address of the shop.

Some time later I wound up in the FAA, so I stuck an FAA pin in the front &
kept it in my office. Whenever the need arose I'd don the cap & "take
charge". Didn't really work because the name Clouseau kept popping up.
