Hi Adam et al,
I am looking into various UML tools that would be free and compatible with
other MIFOS tools especially Hibernate.
I have identified the following:
- Agro UML - open source
- OMONDO (part of Eclipse)
- Poseiden - based on Agro UML ( as per Amiruddin Nagri's note)
- Magicdraw
- Rational Rode (not free)
I would like to find a tool that can do the graphics and have an underlying
repository also feed Hibernate.. Reverse engineering java and SQL ddl would
also be desirable.
I will download some of these tools and do some sample class diagrams based on
the Customer business object.

Hi Adam,
I have used Poseidon's UML tool for reverse engineering class files into UML
diagrams, here is the link
http://www.gentleware.com/<http://www.gentleware.com/> ,
they had a community edition not sure if it is free for Open Source projects
like MIFOS.
The other tool which I found very effective was visual paradigm's uml tool,
but again I used only free trial edition. Not sure about licensing.

I forgot to mention that the first area Kevin intends to examine is the
CustomerBO type hierarchy.
Also, does anyone know if we have a license for a UML tool or if one is
perhaps freely available to projects like Mifos?
