Jeff,
I have used the database dump you provided. to get this to work I had to first
of all update the password for the user mifos so i could login.
i logged in as mifos which is mapped to role id 1 (as are the other users in
the database)
I also had to update my applicationConfiguration.custom.properties and add USD
as an additional currency to get client page to render correctly.
I created a new client with the exact same details you specified and got the
following error message when creating beneath a group:
# The combination of the specified Date of Birth and name joe blow already
exists in the application. Please specify a different name.
and when creating outside of group membership i was able to replicate your
problem. I will update you on why this occurs based on the given dataset.
