Hello Binny,
Thanks for the extensive description.
I think the basic feature of sliding interest bands should be just to support interest percentages for various amounts. Specific "incentives" for different clients should preferably be seperate products or just a different interest rate setup on the same product. Unless we can allow the incentive feature to more than just 2 criteria, both of which are currently provided by datatables and therefore are organisation specific. Therefore the seperate products or different interest setups would have my preference and would already satisfy the needs of a large amount of MFI's. Any specifics around incentives based on age etc of client could then be dealt with in the UI.
Currently all changes in products (both loans and savings) that are made are not applied to existing products for obvious reasons. For simplicity's sake I would first implement this feature before we go down the road of adjusting existing products. We already have an outstanding item MIFOSX-793 to do this for loans, and might then do the same for savings as part of the same item?
keithwoodlock, Vishwas Babu A J could you guys provide some feedback on the preferred back-end implementation of this feature, so that we keep it flexible enough for most MFI's?
