Hi Francis, Adam Feuer and I are currently running Mifos on Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty), following the instructions here: http://www.mifos.org/developers/wiki/MifosUbuntuInstall
> - tomcat6 As Ryan mentioned, we currently recommend installing Tomcat via tarball instead of using the Ubuntu package. It would be great to have instructions on how to get Mifos working with the Tomcat that comes with Ubuntu. Lately someone with the nickname "guywithcable" has been on the Mifos IRC channel discussing extra steps required to make it work (for instance, with Java/Tomcat security). If you or guywithcable gets it working, please let us know and we can update the install instructions. There are some useful tidbits in the irc log archives, like from July 6th: http://tinyurl.com/ldhpxt > - libmysql-java (provides /usr/share/java/mysql-connector-java-5.1.6.jar) The MySQL client library is included in mifos.war, you shouldn't have to install this Ubuntu package (might even cause problems, I don't know). > The Mifos WAR file is in /var/lib/tomcat6/webapps/ and the > `deploymifosDB.properties` file is in /usr/share/tomcat6/lib. The contents of that file look fine. I'm not sure about the paths. > java.lang.Error: > org.mifos.framework.exceptions.AppNotConfiguredException: JDBC Driver > class not found: com.mysql.jdbc.driver Was "driver" in lowercase like that?
